Now we will examine the home sale rates in Turkey between 2013-2020. According to data which Turkey Statistical Institute compiles, annual home sales increased between 2013 and 2020. The data that Turkey Statistical Institute provides us shows that 1,157,190 houses were sold in 2013. The rates were increasing in 2014, and a total of 1,165,381 houses are sold during the year. In 2015, an increase happened similar to the increases in the previous year intervals, and a total of 1,289,320 houses are sold. As 2016 follows 2015, there is a similar increase in the total home sales and finally, 1,341,453 homes sold. When analyzing the data, it is possible to see an increase in home sales in 2017, and 1,409,314 houses were sold in 2017. It is possible to see a small decrease in 2018, which does not matter much; 1,375,398 houses were sold in 2018. It is possible to say that home sales increased in 2019. A total of 1,348,729 houses were sold in 2019. And finally, in 2020, as we mentioned before, there was an increase of 11.2% despite the pandemic. According to Turkey Statistical Institute’s data, 1,499,316 homes were sold in 2020.
