In 2021, 1.491.856 houses were sold across Turkey. The city with the highest rate of sales was Istanbul, and the one with the lowest rate was Hakkari.

Istanbul was the leader in house sales to foreigners with a number of 26.469 houses. Antalya followed Istanbul with 12.384 sales and Ankara followed them with 3.672 sales.
Considering the nationalities, most of the house sales in 2021 were made to Iran citizens
In 2021, Iran citizens bought 10.056 houses from Turkey. Iraq citizens followed Iran with 8.661 house sales and Russian Federation citizens followed Iraq with 5.379 house sales.
In 2021, women bought 506.495 houses and men bought 819.730 houses
In 2021, women bought 506.495 houses with a share of 34.0%, men bought 819.730 houses with a share of 54.9%, and 28.900 houses were bought jointly by women and men with a share of 1.9% across Turkey.
In Istanbul, which is the city with the highest share in the total housing sales across Turkey in 2021; women bought 83.226 houses, men bought 142.120 houses, and women and men jointly bought 6.962 houses.
